[photogallerylink id=25694 align=left] Alan Ball, the creator of True Blood is spilling some secrets from the new season and talking about how many more seasons might be left in the loved HBO series! Spoiler alert! “Truebies” may not be happy with his answer!
Over 11.8 million viewers watched the True Blood Season Three finale last Summer and the show has only grown in popularity since then. Season 4 kicks off June 26th on HBO and Alan Ball says, “It’s easy to wonder, ‘Oh, who is Sookie gonna pick?’ I know it’s female wish fulfillment, but it’s also like, ‘Well, who gets the prize?’ All the vampires are going, ‘She’s mine, she’s mine,’ but why should she be anybody’s? Why shouldn’t they be hers? Why do men always get to make all the rules?”
Whatever Sookie’s choice, she’ll be dealing with new drama this season when a coven of witches arrive to wreak havoc in town. “The big thing this year is witchcraft,” says Ball, “and looking at how, in our world, certain humans are able to access magic.”
Season Four also promises to have lots more glimpses into the distant pasts of the immortal characters.
As for the fate of the show, Alan says “I am negotiating for a season past this one”. One more season? That can’t be! Hopefully if he decides to leave, the show will go on without him and still gives us “Truebies” everything we tune in to see on our Summertime Sundays!
