“Who lives in a pineapple under the sea”… and can cause brain damage if you watch him? Spongebob Squarepants according to a new study!

A study published in Pediatrics claims that exposing kids to SpongeBob SquarePants can damage their brain!

TheWashingtonPost.com is reporting that Pediatrics claims that the cartoon is “fast-paced” and examining whether that fast pace might be harmful to children’s brain functions.

After 3 groups of kids were separated. One was shown a Spongebob cartoon, one was shown a PBS cartoon and the last group got crayons and paper for free-time drawing.

All 3 groups were tested after the excercise and the kids who watched Spongebob tested much lower than the other 2 groups.

If that isn’t the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Why in the world does it matter to you if a cartoon is “fast-paced”. Who cares if kids truly remember what happens on Spongebob Squarepants?
