Thousands of girls waited in the heat in Charlotte last week for a glimpse at the guys in One Direction while their U.S. tour wound down. KISS 95.1/Charlotte went backstage to interview Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson and ened up finding out about their dirty little secret: who’s the dirtiest guy in the band.

“Zayn [Malik] claims he’s really clean but not. I know I’m really messy, I’m terrible,” Tomlinson confirmed.

And, of course, we had to follow up that question by asking who has the dirtiest mind.

“Well I think we’re all just teenage thugs really,” Payne replied.

“I think probably the most obvious would be Harry [Styles], wouldn’t it?” Tomlinson said, looking to Payne for confirmation. “Or Zayn.”

The guys also talked about meeting other stars since they hit the big time in the U.S.

“Will Smith was the most exciting,” Liam says. “But the one we’re most excited about going to meet is…well me and Louis recently took up surfing and have been surfing quite a lot…and we actually might be going surfing with Kelly Slater who’s the best surfer in the world.”

British kids, surfing? Only in America, folks.
