I tend to avoid trashy TV shows like Jersey Shore and Toddlers in Tiaras, but I caved into the hype over “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” and have been watching it since it started a few weeks ago.

If you aren’t familiar with Honey Boo Boo, she is 6yr old Alana Thompson from Toddlers and Tiaras and the show is a spinoff that follows the adventures of her “redneck” family from McIntyre, Georgia.  So far episodes have shown the whole family chowing down on Cheetos, Alana and her sister entering a mud jumping belly flop contest, one of her sisters bobbing for raw pig’s feet, and Alana receiving a pig named Glitzy as a gift when she didn’t win at her latest pageant.

Apparently child protective services made a visit to the home back in March while the show was filming because neighbors were concerned about how the children are being raised.  CPS didn’t find any reason to intervene or remove the kids… But what about bringing a little girl to a bar and having her shake her booty for money??

Her mom’s excuse – it wasn’t a “sleazy bar” it’s just a “college bar”.
