The 30-year-old singer may have a lot on her plate right now with her music, the upcoming GRAMMYs award show and a wedding to plan, but she’s as calm as they come.
“My biggest problem, if you work with me and what a lot of people will tell you, is that, it’s not that I don’t care, but I’m really nonchalant about a lot of things, like clothes or like weddings!” said Kelly to People magazine. “I’m not the kind of girl to be a Bridezilla, I’m definitely not a Bridezilla, I’m the opposite of one.”
For some women, the day they get married is the most important day of their lives; for Kelly it’s special, but maybe it’s not something to stress over. Even if disaster strikes on her big day, she is pretty confident she’ll just roll with the punches.
“I’ll be like, ‘Oh look the wedding cake has fallen off the porch, that’s fine, it’s still all cool.’ Or I’ll be like, ‘Oh look something’s on fire but hey, that’s cool, whatever, we’ll move it,” Kelly continued. “I’m not that kind of girl I think that annoys people sometimes. I value the important things. I know we’re going to have a fun wedding regardless of whether it rains or whatever.”
She and fiancé Brandon Blackstock are getting married this year, and even though she may come across as a bit apathetic, she stressed she is excited and the wedding is very important to her.
“The thing I’m most psyched about in 2013 is my wedding. I never thought I’d get married so it’s kind of cool that I fell in love and am getting married.”
We’ll be hearing wedding bells soon enough.
