Robbery busts happen all the time, but usually the detective isn’t a child. In this case, four-year-old Abby from Fernadale, Washington foiled her 17-year-old babysitter’s plan.
Abby was under the supervision of her babysitter on June 18 when two unidentified males stormed the house to rob them.
“Wednesday was the worst day in my life,” revealed Abby to Fox news.“They told us to get out of the home cause they wanted to steal stuff.”
The robbers stole Abby’s kitty bank, her ipod, computers and a video gaming system. When the police arrived to the apartment, the babysitter indicated two black men had robbed them—she even went as far to say one of the men looked like the neighbor.
That neighbor, Cody Oaks, was handcuffed and questioned for several hours, but it was little Abby who cleared his name. She told the police the robbers had white skin—not black, and with that declaration, the babysitter struggled to keep her story, and soon confessed.
“That was really her being bad,” said Abby. “She’s not a good babysitter.”
The robbers were identified as the babysitter’s 16-year-old boyfriend and 18-year-old Ruben Bejamin. They were all arrested. The babysitter is facing second-degree perjury, conspiring to commit robbery and conspiring to commit burglary. The two other suspects were both charged with second-degree robbery, theft, and burglary.
As for the stolen materials, Abby said, “they got it back because of me being the superhero.”
