UC Davis Researchers are recruiting dogs to help sniff out cancer. Dogs are actually 90% effective at detecting cancer by using their sense of smell. Researchers don’t know what exactly the dogs smell, but are using their talents to make advancements. The trainer teaches dogs how to identify what cancer smells like by having them sniff and recognize samples of urine, saliva, or breath. Find out more about this research here.
