The days of passing sweet notes to your classmates are apparently over, according to an ABC Action News report about a 9-year-old boy who did just that.
This little boy apparently wrote a little note to a girl in his class, in which he stated she was “pretty,” “cute,” and had “eyes like diamonds.” His school is now saying he could get in trouble for sexual harassment!
The boy’s mom told ABC Action News:
“…the principal proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t appropriate that he was writing the note and that if he writes another note, they are going to file sexual harassment charges on my nine-year-old.”
“He’s 9,” said the boy’s mother. “What little kid doesn’t write love notes? My 9-year-old doesn’t even know what sexual harassment means.”
What do you think? Is this normal 9-year-old behavior, or should the boy be disciplined?
