Is this the only thing we want to hear Jennifer Aniston talk about? I swear it’s every article. Remember when the actress wrote an op-ed for The Huffington Post in July on being a tabloid target? She described being painted as a sad, lonely, childless woman over the years. Now Marie Claire is asking why she chose to speak up, as if we don’t already know the answer.
“My marital status has been shamed; my divorce status was shamed; my lack of a mate had been shamed; my nipples have been shamed,” she said. “It’s like, ‘Why are we only looking at women through this particular lens of picking us apart? Why are we listening to it?'”
She finally had enough and did something about it. “I just thought, ‘I have worked too hard in this life and this career to be whittled down to a sad, childless human,'” she told the magazine.
Aw! Good for her. Now let’s ask more interesting, relevant questions in the future! Constantly having this conversation with her is perpetuating the labels! She never needed a child or man to be happy. She’s hot, rich, and has a hot, funny husband. Trust me. She’s fine.
