You may want to hold off serving hummus and veggies as an appetizer this Thanksgiving. KCRA reports that Sabra has issued a recall for some of its products due to listeria contamination. Listeria infections can cause a variety of symptoms and side effects including high fever, severe headaches and even miscarriages in pregnant women. It has been advised to see your doctor had you consumed these products and are experiencing symptoms.
Certain spreads made before November 8th and distributed within the US and Canada could be contaminated. Suggestions to consumers have been made to throw out any Sabra products that have a best-before date through January 23, 2017.
