Not Adele’s OLD phone number, but her CURRENT phone number.
According to Mirror, Sophie Highfield was shopping for a new phone. She bought a new iPhone 5s (in June 2014), and for months she never noticed something was up. One day when she was sending a message, as she was typing the recipient’s name, some other names showed up. She experimented. She typed some other names, starting with the letter “A.” Adele showed up. After some more digging, she found many other British celebrities, TV and Radio personalities, comedians, a ton of famous Brits.
She’s been working with the cellular carrier and even Apple, and so far, nobody has any answers as to how those numbers got in her phone. The phone she bought was brand-new, never used. Another security expert suspects a problem with Apple’s iCloud service, and that somehow her phone was synced to multiple accounts. He suggests Apple “take it seriously,” and work on their security a bit more.
