Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Release 1st Joint Statement Since Divorce Announcement

Interesting. There’s been a lot of rumors surrounding the divorce of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Who knows what’s true, but I do know they don’t want the details going public! The A-list pair agreed to seal all court documents going forward, E! Online reports. They even released their 1st joint statement since the announcement back in September.

“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues,” the statement read. “The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.”

Progress? Seems so. Just last month they were slinging mud at one another! A judge denied Pitt’s request to seal documents in the custody battle. He claimed to beĀ “extremely concerned” his kids privacy rights would be damaged. Jolie lawyers fired back, saying this attempt was a “thinly-veiled attempt to shield himself, rather than the children, from the public view.” Of course, that got everyone talking!

I hope whatever sparked all this animosity isn’t as bad as it seems. Divorce can be ugly. Everybody knows that! They just need to do what’s best for the children. Making the documents private is a smart move they should’ve made in the beginning. They knew this was going to be a circus, and it seems Jolie wanted it that way…but changed her mind.
