2017 is already the year of the lawsuit. Justin Bieber’s neighbor, Chipotle, and now a woman is suing Nestle because, she says, they’re underfilling boxes of Raisinets. Not just underfilling, but recklessly underfilling.
Sandy Hafer says that the company is leading customers on to the illusion of purchasing a full box of candies, when in reality the box is only about 60% full upon purchase. She accuses the company of doing this intentionally, which violates laws in California regarding false advertising. She intends to fight for many customers of the product, and says that people have “suffered injury and lost money as a result of Nestlé’s misleading, false, unfair, and fraudulent practices.”
