It’s not that he was impersonating Justin Bieber online that got him arrested. What got him arrested is that he was posing as Justin Bieber to get nude pictures from minors online, THAT’S what got him arrested.
This guy, he tricked young fans of the pop-star into messaging him on Kik, the messaging app that promotes group chats and “meeting new people,” to send him nude pictures. She sent the girl a message on Instagram, arranged a text-message exchange with Justin Bieber, and then posed as bieber, reportedly demanding “nude photos … and threatened harm if she didn’t cooperate.” That happened 2 years ago, and the girl is only 11 this year. Yeah, creepy.
After the police caught on and arrested him, he admitted to multiple other cases of doing the same thing to other girls, and seems to be facing charges of “extortion, manufacturing child pornography and communicating with a minor with the intent to commit a sex act.”
Glad this guy is getting locked up. Creep. More details here from US Magazine.
