Scarlett Johansson and her husband, Romain Dauriac, announced their separation back in January, but now she’s officially filed for divorce.
The official paperwork was handed to her husband’s lawyer yesterday (Tuesday, March 7th 2017), but it’s only the beginning. It sounds like there’s going to be a dramatic custody battle. After the original split, they had a co-parenting agreement that would trade their daughter, 2-year-old Rose, back and forth; one week with Scarlett, one week with Romain.
After dealing with her changing schedules, Scarlett wanted to change the schedule with their daughter, 3 days with her, 2 days with him. But this quickly turned into “the kid was bouncing back and forth. It can’t work because [Johansson] travels so much,” says a source close to Romain. Scarlett wants sole custody after the divorce, but Romain wants to move to France full-time with their daughter.
The couple was first seen together in 2012, and they got married in 2014 just after Rose was born. They separated last summer, kept it secret for a while, and just yesterday, Scarlett filed divorce papers.
