Local School Changes ‘Father/Daughter’ Dances To ‘Family’ Dances

A local elementary school has changed the tradition of their “Father/Daughter Dance” to be a “Family Dance” to be more inclusive…

Fox40.com says that Crocker/Riverside Elementary School is changing the tradition of the dances because it was a tradition that not “everyone cherishes.”

The principal of the school said the new “Family Dance” idea will make the event more diverse:

“However the child wants to define their family, whoever they want to bring with them they’re able to do that.”

How do YOU feel about the changes at Crocker/Riverside Elementary School?
