If you’re a Cage the Elephant, you’ll be happy to know that they will be at the Crest Theatre on April 15th. However, all phones will be locked during the concert, according to Sacramento Business Journal.
Cage the Elephant is being insistent on fans not filming their acoustic tour. They asking that people who enter the theatre to put their electronic devices, such as their smart phones, smart watches, and anything that will record the concert in a Yondr pouch. This pouch is a high-tech device that will automatically lock your phone once in the auditorium.
Not only will the promoters take these measures to stop anyone from filming the concert, they will eject anyone who is filming the performance. Yulya Borroum, the Crest manager tried to protest it. “I tried to protest it, but they insisted. Most bands we see want the publicity.”
This is not uncommon for performers. Dave Chappelle used the same technology for his 2015 stand up.
