Adele was juuust finishing up singing “Water Under the Bridge” at her show in Melbourne when she decided to lay into a security guard. You’re thinking now, “what could a security guard do at a concert that would make Adele flip out?” Well, he was telling people to sit down.
Apparently the guard felt like people standing up at a concert would be some kind of hazzard, or maybe he felt like they were blocking people from seeing the performance (judging by the second thing she said after laying into the guard). She called him out, saying “excuse me sir, I know you work here, but could you stop telling people to sit down? This is a music show. If people can’t see, then they can stand up.”
She followed that up by saying “and if you’re moaning about people dancing, then why the [eff] have you come to a show for? If I see one more person being told to sit down, I swear to God..” and then she continued with the show.
Check out the video below, but beware of an uncensored “f-word” in her dialogue.
