Remember after the Super Bowl when Tom Brady’s game-worn jersey was stolen out of the locker room? Well, actually TWO of them were stolen over the past couple years.
The shirts were FOUND! The NFL had help from the FBI and “other law enforcement officials.” The jerseys were found with someone who was a “credentialed member of international media,” basically meaning a foreign journalist had them. Both jerseys were game-worn, the most recent one being from this years Super Bowl, and the other was from the 2015 win against Seattle. The suspect also had a helmet that might belong to Von Miller from Denver that was stolen after last year’s game.
The FBI was involved because the shirts (and helmet) were found outside of the United States, specifically in Mexico. Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted this message:
And for some laughs, here’s a suspect board made up by Tom Brady that he shared a month ago:
Maybe it helped them track the guy down?
