It’s a safety message. Not that she flipped her baby upside down in her car seat, but that she was able to flip her baby upside down without her falling out. It’s a “how to properly strap in your baby” post, and it’s getting a lot of positive shares on Facebook.
She posted the picture after posing the question to parents, “ask yourself if you’d be comfortable flipping it upside down,” speaking about a parent’s confidence in strapping their child in correctly. She gave some helpful tips on how to properly strap your child in, as well as some things you shouldn’t do, like strap a child in while he or she is wearing a fluffy winter jacket.
She went on to say that you shouldn’t just flip your car seat upside down, it was more of a rhetorical question, she just pointed out that if the car were to flip over, you’d want your child to remain in the car seat, obviously. She gives recommendation that the straps can and should be moved around to fit your specific child, and that you should take the extra time to ensure their safety. She also says to carefully read the manuals for both your car and the car seat, and that different brands require different techniques, so you shouldn’t assume you know how to do it just because you’ve done it before on another seat.
