Even though the hit comedy series Parks and Recreation ended back in 2015, people have been clamoring for more!
According to Variety, fans of the show should be happy to hear that Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman are reuniting for a new show called “The Handmade Project,” and it’s already been given a six-episode first season order.
This new show will be a competition series and will have artisans creating impressive handmade creations for a panel of judges. Poehler and Offerman will act as co-hosts for the series, as well as producers.
Speaking about the show, Poehler said:
“I’m thrilled to be celebrating artists who make things by hand, and I’m looking forward to finally conquering my fear of paper mache.”
For his part, Offerman explained:
“People who make things are my favorite kind of folk. Practical, clever and terrific in a pinch. That makes me tickled pink to have a front row seat at this prodigious display of talent, and admiring and cheering on an amazing crop of American makers. Plus, Amy and I have a strong tradition of tomfoolery so let’s see if we don’t have some good fun.”
Though the show is clearly unrelated to Parks and Recreation, fans are still encouraged to tune in and enjoy the hilarity that both Poehler and Offerman bring with them.
