A Wal-Mart cashier just decided to buy an elderly couple’s groceries when they didn’t have enough money to cover the cost. He didn’t even do it for the attention, but because he just felt like helping them out.
Levi Zimmerman was working his shift when the couple went through his line. As he was paying for their groceries, the person behind the couple in line (Josh) didn’t even realize what Levi was doing until he pulled his debit card from his own wallet and swiped it through the machine. Josh was moved by the act, and took the story to Facebook, where he praised Levi and shared a picture of him.
Levi says he learned from his parents that “it’s just what your [sic] suppose to do, you know. If someone is just in that small of a pickle, might as well.”
We’ll call Levi our hero of the week. Hats off to you, young man, for your generous act of kindness.
