TMZ is reporting that comedian Charlie Murphy passed away this morning from Leukemia.
His family is shocked because even though he was undergoing chemotherapy, they thought he was getting better. Charlie joked with his family saying they were calling and checking up on him too much.
Charlie was recently on tour with Cedric the Entertainer, DL Hughley, George Lopez and Eddie Griffin on “The Comedy Get Down” tour that came to Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena. I was there that night, so this is kind of blowing my mind. Charlie was memorible for not only his stand up but co writing some of his brother Eddie Murphy’s movies like “Norbit”, “Vampire In Brooklyn” and “Are We There Yet?”
Charlie’s wife passed away in 2009 from cervical cancer. He is leaving behind their two children and a child from a previous marriage. RIP.
