Mongoose Lemurs At The Sacramento Zoo Had A Baby [PICS]

Catherina and Elmo, the critically endangered Mongoose Lemurs that live at the Sacramento Zoo just had a baby. See the pics… čśŹ

SacBee.com reports that Catherina and Elmo welcomed a brand new baby Mongoose Lemur to the family. Check out the pic below:

It’s unknown if the new baby is a boy or a girl yet because that will be determined in a few months “once the fur color comes in, according to the zoo. If the lemurÔÇÖs throat stays white, it is a female, and if the color changes to a rust-brown, it is a male.”

The article also says that Mongoose Lemurs are┬ácritically endangered – so that makes this birth even sweeter!

Happy birthday little Mongoose Lemur baby and welcome to Sacramento!
