Did you watch “Roseanne” back in the ’90s? It was one of the most popular shows then, and has a huge following, though it’s little talked-about.
It’s going to be revived, but just for a single-season, 8-episode run. Roseanne Barr and Sara Gilbert (Darlene) will be producing the new show. It’s starring the original cast, Roseanne (of course), John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf (Jackie) and all the others. It’s “currently in the marketplace,” with several different networks making bids for the show, including Netflix.
It comes 20 years after the final episode back on May 20th, 1998, and also just after the cast was back together on “The Talk.” They’ve released a bunch of stories that will be in the new series, including medical marijuana, a fake-death, divorce, one character coming out as gay, the list goes on.
