He’s new to the cast, and without spoiling any of the movie, he plays a pretty integral part of the story. He also lost many years – as in he was made to look a lot younger in the movie. He and Mark discussed some of the special effects, and the technique isn’t as modern as we thought it would be.
Even with all these technological advancement (heck, Paul Walker’s character was a computer generated design in a few scenes of the last Fast & Furious movie, “Furious 7”), they still chose to try good old makeup. Makeup artists are extremely important to the final look of characters in films. Everything can be done on a computer now, but having a physical “look” just gives a little more authenticity, don’t you think? It also helps that Kurt is in fantastic shape for his age, too!
