An 18-year-old entrepreneur has designed a bra that can detect breast cancer have he almost lost his own mom to the disease. See how it works…
HuffingtonPost.com says that the teen from Mexico designed the bra that just won “the top prize at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards finals competition.”
Here’s a video of how it works:
The article says that the bra has “tactile sensors to map the surface of the breast and monitor texture, color and temperature. The invention was designed particularly for women who have a genetic predisposition to breast cancer, and users can use a mobile or desktop app to review their condition.”
Although it’s just a prototype right NOW, the teen estimates that it might be in use in 2 years!
He was inspired to create the product after he almost lost his mother when she was diagnosed with breast cancer – TWICE!
He says: “The diagnosis came too late and my mother lost both of her breasts and, almost, her life.”
