Ed SHeeran is always helping people, and in this recent story, terminal cancer patient Dion Yates was scammed out of almost $800 for Ed Sheeran tickets.
She really wanted to see Ed Sheeran perform while she still had time, so she and her mother looked around for tickets to his sold out show. They found a pair, and the seller had all the proof. A receipt from Ticketmaster, a copy of his bank statement showing that he purchased the tickets, everything seemed super legitimate. £600 ($770-ish US Dollars) later, tickets were in hand, and everyone was happy.
Once they arrived to the venue on the night of the show, the tickets wouldn’t scan. They were fakes. Elaborately covered up and made to look real, but fake. She couldn’t get into the show. After posting on social media, some people who took notice made some calls, and eventually Ed Sheeran and his people were able to find some VIP tickets for Dion and her family, and they’ll get an even better experience at any of his other shows they decide they want to see. How cool!
