Bradley cooper has a newfound respect for singers. Not that he didn’t respect them before, but he just knows now how much talent goes into singing. Working on the movie “A Star Is Born” with Lady Gaga, and also having to sing in the movie himself, he finally realized how difficult it really is, he says.
In the movie, Bradley plays a country star who’s on his way out of the spotlight, but he helps Gaga’s character, who’s new to the music industry, discover herself and raise to stardom. About singing, he says it’s very difficult. Even getting a single phrase out, he was getting “fatigued.” It helped him discover a new respect for singers and what they do, difficult as it is.
After working on some of the scenes where Gaga sings, he says he hopes his scenes are “believable enough,” meaning he hopes he was able to deliver the performance and a believable singer, but just enough so to not take any attention away from Gaga because, Bradley says, “she’s incredible.”
He also revealed that all of the music in the movie is original, as in it was written for the movie.
