United Airlines Passenger Forced To Use Cup Instead Of Restroom

A woman from Kansas, Nicole Harper, says that while on a flight, and in need of some bladder relief, was not allowed to leave her seat to use the restroom.

“I’m going to need to use the restroom or I’m going to need a cup,” she told flight attendants. So, they handed her a cup. Then she says “I’m going to need a second cup.”

She has overactive bladder – and has had it her entire life. She told the flight crew of the condition, but apparently that wasn’t enough heads-up. She says they just wouldn’t let her get up to use the restroom.

A statement from the airline says that they understand the situation as the plane was on final descent, and the “fasten seatbelt” sign was on, so she was told to stay seated per FAA regulation. They are working behind the scenes investigating further into the situation, and are in contact with everyone involved.

No word on if the cups were actually used, but we’re ok with not knowing, honestly.
