This is the first we’ve heard of something like this. A guy is suing the woman he took on a date to the movies, because she was texting during the movie.
He calls it a “first date from hell.” Brandon says his date, an unnamed woman, started texting about 15 minutes into the movie. The movie was “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” in 3D. It’s a real case, he actually took it to small claims court. He says that she “activated her phone at least 10-20 times,” and once he asked her to stop by suggesting she go outside of the theater to text, she walked out, and never came back. That left him stranded at the theater, and seeking damages to the tune of $17.31, to cover the cost of the ticket, and says that she’s “a threat to civilized society.”
The woman was completely unaware of the lawsuit against her. When she found out, she was quoted as saying “Oh my god,” and “this is crazy.” She also stated that she only texted a couple times.
Should she pay him back? Think there’s more to the story?
