Ex-Raider Michael Bennett Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison For Petaluma Case

Michael Bennett, a former running back for The Oakland Raiders was just sentenced to five years in prison for stealing over $200,000 from his girlfriend’s parents.

The 38 year old Petaluma resident was ordered to begin serving his sentence immediately. Per state law, he could be eligible for release in 2 1/2 years.

Originally he was accused of stealing $325,000 from his girlfriend’s parents. He pleaded no contest to stealing trust documents and using the information to take out two loans. In 2012, he was found guilty of wire fraud in Florida.

His Sonoma County conviction could make him ineligible to receive money as part of the league’s multi-million dollar player concussion settlement. For more click HERE
