Amazon Refunding Users Seventy Million Dollars

You may remember we reported on getting ready to refund parents who have children that may have run up their bills on in-app purchases. Well, they’ve started to refund customers today, and you might be getting your refund.

The breakdown of what happened:
During the time between November 2011 and May 2016, kids may have made purchases in games and apps without their parents’ permission.
A court found that Amazon is responsible to refund those purchases because they didn’t have adequate procedures in place to automatically request a password upon a purchase request, or notify parents that purchases were being made.

If you received an email from Amazon letting you know that you’ll be receiving a refund, then that’s that, but if you didn’t receive that email and feel like you should have, you can use this link, or find other instructions here.
