Being a police dog means serious business. They need to be on their best behavior to catch the all bad guys. Unfortunately, this adorable puppy, pictured below, got fired for the best possible reason.
This cute puppy, named Gavel, got fired because he was just too friendly, according to Huffington Post. After a 16-month program at the Queensland Police Service in Brisbane, Australia, Gavel got cut from the program.
Fortunately, he replaced his job in no time, with a much more fitting position. He is now Queensland’s official Vice-Regal Dog. He even had the cutest contract.
The Governor of Queensland took to Instagram to say,
“He may have missed out on becoming a Queensland Police Service Dog, but it is abundantly clear that Gavel has the characteristics necessary to adequately fulfill duties as Queensland’s official Vice-Regal Dog #maroontothebone.”
We can’t handle this much cuteness!
