Jennifer Lawrence’s Plane Suffers Engine Failure, Makes Emergency Landing

Jennifer Lawrence was flying on a private plane this past Saturday (June 10th, 2017) when one of the engines failed. That’s normally not a big deal, the plane can usually still fly when an engine goes out. The problem in this case was that another engine failed shortly after that.

She took off from Louisville, KY where she was visiting family on Saturday. While cruising at 31,000, feet one of the engines stalled. The pilots decided to go ahead and plan a landing so they can swap planes or get Jennifer on another flight. As they were making their approach, a second engine gave out, prompting a priority emergency landing. They chose Buffalo, NY for their landing spot since they were so near to that airport.

Nobody was hurt during the landing, but Jennifer and the flight crew were greeted by emergency crews once the plane landed. No word on what made the engines fail on the plane, nor did they say where Jennifer was heading at the time of the failure.
