Yosemite National Park Entrance Blocked Due To Rockslide

If your Father’s Day plans involved heading to Yosemite, you may want to reconsider, or at least plan ahead in more detail.

The El Portal Road & Arch Rock Entrance to Yosemite is blocked due to a rockslide that happened a couple days ago. Crews are thinking that it will still be blocked this weekend, which might put a bump in some people’s plans to head to the park for Father’s Day weekend.

They’re working to clear everything, but they’re discovering damaged roadways and retaining walls along the road. Some of the boulders they’re trying to clear weigh over 130 tons, and the blockage is about 150 feet long and 20 feet deep in spots.
