The Autistic Twelve Year Old’s Pug Birthday Party Was A Success

Remember last week when we told you about the mom who wanted to throw her 12-year-old autistic son a pug-themed birthday party? Well, it happened on Saturday, and there were hundreds of pugs there, just like promised.

Hayden absolutely adores pugs. He says a dream of his was to have a ton of them running around him, so his mother had the idea to throw Hayden a pug-party. She put an open invitation out on Facebook, and after getting shared hundreds of times, there were RSVPs from hundreds of pug owners. Even a pug rescue from Sacramento showed up, bringing even more pugs.

An even better surprise is that someone actually donated a pug to Hayden and his family. The person decided to be kept anonymous, but absolutely made the day even that much more special. Hayden named the pug Pumpkin.

What an awesome story, and it happened right here in Roseville.
