Amazon is paying out again, not because of a lawsuit, but because they want you to watch their content.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can score 10 bucks just by watching one of their Prime shows or movies on your TV, if you’ve yet to do so. If you have a Smart TV with the Amazon Prime app, or a Fire TV, some sort of game console, Roku, whatever – if it has the Amazon Prime app, sign in and watch something. They’ll give you a $10 credit on Amazon (they have specific details), and you have until July 11th to use it. That’s the end of Prime Day, and that’s what the promotion is about.
Amazon has been working on their streaming service for some time now, but they’re ready to start competing ith the big boys finally. They’re spending $4.5 billion on content this year, compared to Netflix spending about $6 billion. They’re trying to earn a chunk of the online video pie, and offering this $10 credit is part of their marketing tactic. Either way, $10 is $10, and couldn’t we all use something we’ve been eyeing on Amazon?
