The “Bachelor in Paradise” drama might finally be over, since Corinne Olympios released this statement:
I felt victimized by the fact that others were judging me through conflicting and unsubstantiated reports, while I myself had no recollection of the events that transpired. My team’s investigation into this matter has now been completed to my satisfaction.
As a quick summary of the situation: She had a few drinks and got talking to DeMario Jackson. Soon the two found themselves hooking up in the pool, but she says she was blackout drunk and never consented to any sort of “act.” Soon there were rape allegations, DeMario Jackson lost his professional job over the ordeal, his life has been a series of lawyers and defamation, not to mention he’ll always be associated with that event now.
Now, Corinne says that she’s satisfied with her legal team’s findings, and that her intent was, well, let her say it:
My intent over the past few weeks has been to learn and understand what happened on June 4. While I never filed complaints or accusations against anyone associated with Bachelor in Paradise, my team and I felt it was very important to be thorough in getting to the bottom of what had occurred.
So basically all that drama and stress was just so she could find out exactly what happened, and says she never actually pointed fingers at anyone.
What a whirlwind month it’s been, but we’re happy that nobody has faced any actual charges for anything they never actually did.
