Netflix Is The Most Popular Movie Streamer, But Video Games Still Win

Netflix is the most popular movie and TV show streaming service, beating out Amazon’s service, Hulu, and even YouTube by a landslide, but there’s another streaming service that beats all four of those combined, and also additionally including HBO and ESPN’s viewer numbers.

Video games. People are live-streaming themselves playing video games, and it’s so popular that there is more of that happening at any given time than people streaming movies or TV shows. One such service, called Twitch, takes the cake in the top spot. Their viewers spend more time watching video games being played than people watch Netflix, they’re earning more cash than Netflix, and absolutely annihilating all the other streaming services.

Video gamers are serious, there are even “Super Bowl” style video game tournaments that sell-out to crowds and bring numbers in the millions of online viewers. It’s hard to believe that there are more people watching video games than people watching real sports on TV, but it’s true.

How interesting. Check it out here.
