I saw this post all over my Facebook feed this week. Jimmy Trujillo is a man you might have seen before if your daily commute takes you through the Madison and Hazel intersection. He fell on hard times after getting a divorce and his car breaking down. He had a previous drug and alcohol addiction but is trying to turn his life around.
Jimmy had been standing on that busy corner with a sign that read, “Hard worker needing job”. Although it might look like it, he’s not panhandling, even turning down money offered to him. He just wanted to find a way to keep busy and earn some money. A woman pulled over and took a picture of Trujillo and his sign and it went viral. After thousands of shares on Facebook and countless job offers, Jimmy accepted a job working for a moving company. Great job, Sacramento! Jimmy called the woman who posted that video his “angel”.
