Katy Perry Admits – She Cries To Her Own Music

Songs can get very emotional. They’re usually written based on some sort of bad experience, and a lot of people can relate to an artist’s bad experience with one of their own, or they can connect to a song because it’s reflects something they’re going through, anything like that.

Katy Perry says that she actually gets emotional over her own music. She admitted that while on tour once, she was so emotional over a couple songs that she couldn’t even perform them. Katy says “My songs are so personal. Sometimes they are about people who are no longer in my life, or they’re about unrequited love. I started out on tour last time and I couldn’t perform a couple of the songs on the record because I was just too upset.”

So if you’ve ever wondered if artists cry over the song they wrote that we cry to, well, now you know. Katy also explains where she gets the most inspiration to write music, and she said that some kind of relaxing setting, like a meditation or massage, is a creative outlet. She also says that a lot of her music came from the shower, and that includes when she would have sing-off style competitions while showing with someone. We’ll let her fill in the rest of that.
