Singer-songwriter St. Vincent (real name Annie Clark) will be directing her first full-length feature with a female-led film adaptation of the classic book The Picture of Dorian Gray, Variety reports. David Birke, who wrote Elle, will be writing the screenplay.
The story follows a hedonistic man whose portrait ages as he stays young.
This won’t be the first time the multi-talented Clark will be working in film. She made her directorial debut in 2017 at the Sundance Film Festival with her short “Birthday Party.” She also co-wrote and scored the film. Here’s hoping she also lends her musical talent to Dorian Gray!
