The Real Reason Katy Perry Missed Taylor Swift’s Video Debut

The MTV VMAs happened Sunday. The VMAs was when Taylor Swift debuted her music video for “Look What You Made Me Do.” Decidedly absent from the video debut was longtime Taylor rival Katy Perry, who was even hosting the show. Taylor Swift didn’t even go to the show, despite even winning an award with Zayn for the song “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.”

We speculated that because of their feud, Katy Perry wanted nothing to do with Taylor Swift or her video, and producers of the show knew that, so they just planned the video debut to come out of commercials, and go into another performance. That’s pretty much what everyone was thinking, actually.

Well, trying to put a stop to those rumors, VMA producers say that the reason Katy Perry was nowhere to be found was because she was actually back stage doing an outfit change, and it required a little more time than normal because of the difficulty of the costume. In fact, she had about 10 outfit changes throughout the show. Even though she didn’t have the chance to see any of the video, some people told her about the highlights, and it’s being said that, according to the source who was there, that “knowing Katy, I’m sure she’s seen it (the video) by now.”

The feud may continue after all.
