Harvey Schluter who is 104 years old, talked his wife Irma who is 92 into marrying him back in 1942 and the two have been together ever since.
They have been together for 75 years and have a lot to show for it. According to the Sacramento Bee, they both came from large families so they began to take in foster children, most of them with disabilities. Over the years they took in 120 kids. Harvey worked as a barber for over 45 years but his biggest accomplishment was taking in all those children and learning to play the banjo. They live in Spokane, Washington which doesn’t see hurricanes, and even after traveling with their kids over the years, never crossed a hurricane’s path. They do however hold the names of the two big hurricanes in the news right now.
