Rocklin High School Students Remember 9/11 With 3,000 Flags

Today marks 16 years since the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, And Washington DC. Students at Rocklin High School, despite the fact that many of them weren’t even born yet, decided they wanted to remember and honor the victims of the attacks by placing 3,000 flags around the campus.

One student, Nolan Smotherman’s father is a firefighter. Nolan said “My dad’s a firefighter so my whole life we’ve paid our respects every year. It’s something we never really forget as a family. I’ve always been in the position of what would happen if it was my dad out there.”
